Questions, Answered
Everything people ask before their first visit — trials, ages, cages, memberships and how booking works. Can't find it? Call and a coach answers, not a call center.
Getting started
Is the first visit really free?
Yes. The free trial includes a 3-day pass with all classes, a 15-minute facility tour and one free cage session — no card, no contract, no sales pitch.
What ages do you train?
Adults of every level on the fitness side, youth athletes ages 6–18 in our youth programs, and baseball players from youth through college and beyond in lessons and cages.
Do I need a membership to rent a batting cage?
No. Cages rent hourly from $50 per 30 minutes with no membership required. Hit members get 20% off rentals and unlimited individual signups.
Where do I park?
Free parking on site at 2651 Fondren Dr, Ste. B — minutes from SMU, University Park and Lakewood.
What should I bring to a first visit?
Training shoes, water and your usual gear. For cage sessions bring your bat and helmet if you have them — call us at (214) 393-3377 if you don't and we'll sort you out.
How do memberships work?
Five tiers from $125/mo across fitness and baseball, including family plans, plus a $45 one-time enrollment. Every plan starts with the free trial if you want to test it first.
How do I book a lesson with a specific coach?
Every coach on our Coaches page has a direct booking button. Checkout completes securely through StatStak, our booking partner.
What are your hours?
Mon–Thu 5:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Fri 5:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Sat 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sun 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
HYROX & fitness
Is DPS an official HYROX gym?
Yes. Dallas Performance Systems is an Official HYROX Training Club, which means we run branded HYROX programming with access to official Hyrox Performance Hub materials and carry the full complement of HYROX station equipment.
Do you have all eight HYROX stations?
Yes — SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls, including the open floor required for the 100-meter sandbag lunge and 80-meter burpee broad jump.
What's the difference between HYROX and CrossFit?
HYROX is a standardized race: 8km of running broken into 1km segments, each followed by one of eight fixed stations, identical at every event worldwide. CrossFit is a training methodology with constantly varied workouts and a competition format that changes each year.
Do I need to be in shape before I start?
No. Classes scale to every level and many members start with no racing experience at all. Coaches adjust sled load, wall ball weight and running volume to where you are today.
How far are you from the HYROX Dallas venue?
About six miles. We're at 2651 Fondren Dr; the race is at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 650 S Griffin St, November 18–22, 2026.
Can I run a simulation race here?
Yes. The race prep block includes two full simulations, and we run open simulation days monthly.
Batting cages
How much do batting cages cost in Dallas?
At Dallas Performance Systems a single cage rents for $50 per 30 minutes or $85 per hour. A full lane (two cages) is $90 per 30 minutes or $150 per hour, and our premium Cage 9 runs $70/30min or $100/hr. Hit members get 20% off rentals plus unlimited individual cage signups.
Can I bring my own coach?
Yes. Bring your own coach, or work with one of our in-house instructors. We don't require you to use ours.
Do you have softball cages?
Yes — our machines adjust for softball, at the same hourly rates.
Are the cages indoors?
Yes. Every cage is indoors and climate controlled, so training doesn't stop for Texas weather.
Do I need a membership?
No. Cages rent by the hour with no membership. Members get priority booking and discounted rates.
How do I book?
Book online by the hour, or call (214) 393-3377. Members can reserve through the DPS app with priority access.
Memberships
Is there a contract?
Memberships are month-to-month. There's a one-time $45 start cost that covers onboarding, your movement assessment and app setup.
What does the $45 start cost cover?
Onboarding, a movement assessment with a coach, and setup in the DPS app for class reservations and cage bookings.
Can I freeze or cancel?
Yes — freeze or cancel anytime from your account or by calling (214) 393-3377. No cancellation fees.
Which tier includes HYROX?
Fit Individual ($160/mo), Fit Family ($350/mo) and Hit+Fit Family ($400/mo) all include unlimited HYROX classes and the full station setup.
Do you offer guest passes?
Members can bring a guest on select days each month — ask at the front desk or in the app.
