Questions
HYROX at DPS, answered
Is DPS an official HYROX gym?
Yes. Dallas Performance Systems is an Official HYROX Training Club, which means we run branded HYROX programming with access to official Hyrox Performance Hub materials and carry the full complement of HYROX station equipment.
Do you have all eight HYROX stations?
Yes — SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls, including the open floor required for the 100-meter sandbag lunge and 80-meter burpee broad jump.
What's the difference between HYROX and CrossFit?
HYROX is a standardized race: 8km of running broken into 1km segments, each followed by one of eight fixed stations, identical at every event worldwide. CrossFit is a training methodology with constantly varied workouts and a competition format that changes each year.
Do I need to be in shape before I start?
No. Classes scale to every level and many members start with no racing experience at all. Coaches adjust sled load, wall ball weight and running volume to where you are today.
How far are you from the HYROX Dallas venue?
About six miles. We're at 2651 Fondren Dr; the race is at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 650 S Griffin St, November 18–22, 2026.
Can I run a simulation race here?
Yes. The race prep block includes two full simulations, and we run open simulation days monthly.
