Background
Coach Schaefer was a three-year starting outfielder at Texas Lutheran University. In his senior season, he led TLU to its first-ever National Championship appearance, finishing as the national runner-up. He posted an impressive .413 batting average, led the nation in hits, and broke the conference record for single-season hits.
Coach Schaefer capped off his collegiate career as a 1st Team All-American, NCAA Elite 90 Award recipient, and Regional MVP.
After hanging up his cleats, he pursued graduate studies in accounting and now works professionally in audit. Still deeply connected to the game, Coach Schaefer continues to train youth athletes—focusing on hitting, fielding, arm strength, and outfield-specific conditioning (especially for those looking to gun down runners at the plate).
